Senior Liability TPPD Adjuster

Job Introduction

We are looking for a Senior Liability TPPD Loss Adjuster to join our highly successful adjusting team, handling Complex and Major Loss Liability Claims of 100K+ in value.  

We’re flexible on your location, providing you can predominantly cover the midlands region with occasional travel to the South. 

 You will come from a loss adjusting background and have extensive experience in handling major loss/complex TPPD claims with focus on public liability claims for a cross section of businesses.  

 They will have experience of managing commercial TPPD claims effectively and will be able to demonstrate a track record of providing excellent customer service

 Additional Responsibilities:

• Manage your own case load of major loss/complex TPPD claims
• Undertake liability enquiries, instructing our own Engineers and Surveyors as necessary. 
• Communicate regularly with all interested parties
• Develop and nurture working relationships with existing clients and exceed their expectations
• Supervise/develop the existing liability injury claims handling team and take responsibility for auditing/peer reviews as necessary
• Confident in dealing with high value pre-litigated cases without the involvement of a lawyer and will be a technical point of referral for more junior handlers.

 You will also have/be:

•  Ideally be ACILA, or hold a similar accreditation such as ILEX, or working towards this as a minimum
• A strong technical capability in handling TPPD claims and attention to detail, able to apply differing policy wordings and coverage
• An enquiring/investigative mind with a determination to establish the true facts
• Extensive knowledge of relevant Regulations, statutes and caselaw governing liability claims and the ability to apply them to a given set of circumstances
• Ability to manage quantum proactively to achieve the best outcomes for policyholders and Insurers
• Ability to identify those claims with high potential and deciding on/reviewing suitable reserves
• Excellent negotiation/tactical skills
• Experience in mentoring/training of junior members of staff with a view to identifying knowledge gaps
• Customer focus with a track record of delivering outstanding levels of service
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver against KPIs
• Ability to work on your own initiative and take ownership of your own caseload of claims, seeking assistance as necessary
  • A positive attitude and a proactive approach to solving problems
